This fossil Olive shell is from from the
Pleistocene period, part of the Bermont Formation
.   It was collected at the bottom of the Palm Beach Aggregate Mine, Loxahatchee, Fl.   It is now closed to the general public like most fossil shell pits in Florida.

is 4.9 cm long.
