A few years ago, we had the privilege of attending a private estate sale on a GORGEOUS property in the Hollywood Hills. The mansion belonged to the late Bernard Wiesen, a film and tv Director/Producer, Executive of sorts, Director of Art and Art Departments, (etc) in Hollywood for many years, was hands down one of the greatest estates/estate auctions we’ve been to.... EVER!It was private, mostly to us for days at a time, until we just could not fit anymore things in our vehicle & bungalow.
... but we did anyhow.
Not only was the property ABSOLUTELY gorgeous, it’s late inhabitants had the most impeccable taste in theatre, art, wine, music, architecture, books, travel (and so on).
From works of famous artists like the Dalí, to personal gifts from good friends whom on any given party occasion would come by and hang out, like Vincent Price, or the personal Christmas letter signed by all the children from the film the King and I.... You can sense a very refined and worldly taste as soon as you opened that heavy wooden door with a stain glass peephole that depicted a lit candle near a book and spider with its web from 1922.... it is/was deemed an absolute blessing as well as a godsend.
We rescued so many valuable bits of history that it was necessary to catalog it all. Now that we have finally finished cataloging everything we are now offering a large portion of these rare, vintage, works of art and little blessings unto you!

And now, without further ado, for your consideration and approval:
RARE script of a rather infamous episode of Maude (Starring Bae Arthur) titled: “The Gay Bar.” It is probably one of the first television examples of a “Gay Bar” being the setting for a great portion of the scenes and sequences in the episode. It is in overall excellent condition and has minor wear in some areas, as this binder I could assume was used on a regular basis. The leather is still supple and everything by means of its contents are very well intact.
Sadly, eBay only allows a few photos at a time, I do have MANY photos available upon request!
