This is an incredible Fossilized Conch! This beautiful, fossil shell is scientifically known as
Strombus mayacensis
and belongs to the Stombidae family. It displays gorgeous formation and significant detail in texture. Shell was scientifically discovered by Herbert Waldron - copy of his hand-written data entry comes with purchase of this fossil (how cool!). Specimen is in pristine condition. Hand-collected from Loxahatchee, Florida on August 12, 2001.
