    Age: Tertiary, Eocene epoch, ca. 40-45 MYO
    Length: ca. 28,5cm
    Diameter : 7.5/8cm
    Weight: 1,6kg
    Fossilized apex of an extinct species of giant marine snails, namely Campanile lachesis. Pictures 3 and 4 demonstrate how this fragment could possibly be used for restoration of an individual specimen with no preserved apex. The fossil was treated with shellac for better preservation.
