Fossil APHABET CONE Shell

from Florida
This fossil CONE shell is from from the Pleistocene period, part of the Caloosahatchee Formation.   It was collected at the bottom of the Newburn APAC Pit, Sarasota, Fl.   It is now closed to the general public like most fossil shell pits in Florida.
You get the exact specimen shown in the photos above.  The CONE SHELL,
Conus spurius
is 8.1 cm long.         NOTE:  There are
